Holding space for your healing—con corazón y compasión.

I’m Estefany Guzman, LCSW(CA)
Therapist, mentor, and first-generation Mexican-American mental health advocate.
I help adults heal emotional wounds rooted in childhood—especially those shaped by intergenerational trauma, emotionally unsafe or unpredictable environments, and patterns rooted in unmet needs or past trauma.
Living Between Cultures: Why I See You
Nacida Mexicana, raised in the U.S., I’ve walked the path of living in-between—
between cultures, between expectations, between who we were taught to be and who we truly are.
That’s why I’m passionate about helping others embrace their full selves. My own experiences shape how I show up in the therapy room: with empathy, cultural humility, and a deep respect for your unique journey.
“Healing isn’t about perfection—it’s about coming home to yourself.”
My Journey as a Therapist
I earned my Bachelor’s in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and my Master of Social Work from Fordham University.
Over the years, I’ve worked in nonprofit mental health settings in New York and California, supporting children, foster youth, adults, couples, and families.
These experiences were transformative, shaping my trauma-informed, holistic approach—one that honors the mind, body, heart, and soul.
My work is grounded in:
- Trauma-informed care
- Inner child & reparenting practices
- Mind-body-heart-soul integration
- Cultural attunement & empowerment

Outside the Therapy Room
When I’m not holding space for others, I’m finding ways to care for myself, too. I love hiking, creating art, DIY projects, and spending time with my energetic pup, Korra.
These moments are sacred—they keep me grounded, creative, and connected to myself. They remind me that healing isn’t just about what we say in session—it’s how we live, connect, and care for ourselves in everyday life.
