Initial Consultation

Choosing therapy is a courageous act of self-care; a powerful step toward reclaiming your peace, purpose, and sense of wholeness. At Metamorfosis Counseling, I hold space for your unique journey with compassion, cultural attunement, and a trauma-informed lens.

I know the first step can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. This free 30-minute consultation is simply a gentle starting point. You’re welcome to share what’s bringing you in, ask any questions you may have, and get a feel for how we might work together. There’s no pressure or expectation — just an open, supportive conversation to see if this space feels right for you.

Healing is a courageous act of self-love.

Se trata de aceptar nuestras imperfecciones, aprender de ellas, y avanzar con compasión.

It’s about embracing yourself fully—with your past, your pain, your strength, and your softness.

What happens during the initial consultation?

During the consultation, you’re welcome to share why you’re seeking therapy, ask any questions you may have about the process, and get a sense of how we might work together. You don’t need to have it all figured out in advance. This conversation is about finding a comfortable space where you feel heard and supported, and where we can explore if we’re a good fit for each other.

What Happens If We Are Not A Good Fit?

Everyone deserves to feel genuinely connected to their therapist. If after our consultation you feel we’re not the right match, I respect that decision and can provide referrals to trusted professionals who may better align with your needs.

Remember, this time is for you—your healing, your growth. Therapy is most effective when you feel comfortable, understood, and safe with your therapist.

How Long Will I Need to Be in Therapy For?

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all—the length of time you spend in therapy depends on you, your goals, and what you’re hoping to get out of the process.

Some people come in with a specific concern and find a few sessions are enough. Others may choose to stay in therapy for several months or even years as they continue to grow, heal, and deepen their self-understanding.

There’s no pressure or timeline you have to follow. I’ll always be honest with you about what I’m noticing in your progress, and together we’ll decide what feels right. Whether you’re here for a short season or a longer journey, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Therapy Fees

Individual Therapy: $150 per 50-minute session.

Sessions are held once per week or biweekly unless previously agreed upon.

Insurance

I do not accept insurance and am considered an “out of network” provider.

Fees are due after each session and I will provide you with a “Superbill” that will enable you to submit for reimbursement (if benefit provided) from your insurance provider.

Cancellation Policy

Life happens—I understand. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid any fees.

Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) and no-shows will be charged the full session fee, as that time is reserved just for you.

If you have any questions or need to make changes to your appointment, feel free to reach out. I appreciate your understanding and respect for both our time.

Good Faith Estimate

As part of the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that outlines the expected cost of your care. If you’re not using insurance or don’t have insurance, you are entitled to receive a written estimate of what you may be charged for non-emergency services, like therapy sessions or evaluations. This helps you plan ahead and feel informed about the investment in your mental health.

What To Expect:

* You’ll receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your first scheduled appointment.

* You can request an estimate at any time, even before deciding to begin services.

* If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above the estimate, you have the right to dispute it.

Your Rights:

* You have the right to receive a written Good Faith Estimate before you receive care.

* It’s a good idea to save a copy for your records.

* If you have questions or believe you’ve been charged unfairly, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

At Metamorfosis Counseling, transparency and trust are central to the therapeutic relationship. If you have questions or want to request a Good Faith Estimate, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
