Hola!

I’m Estefany Guzman, LCSW

As a first-generation Mexican-American mental health advocate, therapist, and mentor, my mission is to create safe, inclusive spaces where you feel truly seen, heard, and empowered.

Being bilingual and bicultural isn’t just something I do—it’s who I am. Nacida Mexicana, raised in the United States, I’ve navigated the unique challenges of living between two worlds. This experience allows me to connect with others who may feel torn between cultures, identities, or expectations. I understand firsthand the complexities of honoring both parts of who we are, and it’s my privilege to support you in embracing your whole self.

My Academic & Clinical Journey

I earned my Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University. This academic foundation has deepened my understanding of the individual and systemic factors that impact mental health, enriching my therapeutic approach.

My clinical experience spans diverse roles in non-profit mental health organizations in New York and California. While these settings presented challenges, they were ultimately transformative. I’ve had the privilege of working with children, foster youth, families, individuals, and couples—experiences that helped me discover my true passions and clinical specialties.

Beyond the Credentials

Outside of my work, I enjoy hiking, creating art, DIY projects, and training my energetic cattle dog, Korra. These activities are more than just hobbies; they’re an essential part of my own journey of healing and growth. Whether it’s the stillness I find on a hiking trail or the creativity I channel through art, these moments help me stay grounded and reconnect with myself. As a firm believer in the mind-body-soul connection, I draw on these experiences to guide my clients toward holistic healing. I look forward to sharing these lessons with you—so you can learn to nurture yourself, set healthy boundaries, and prioritize your well-being.

My Healing Philosophy

Healing is a personal journey, and it’s not about being perfect. Se trata de aceptar nuestras imperfecciones, aprender de ellas, y avanzar con compasión. It’s about embracing yourself fully, with all of your history, your struggles, and your strength.

And that’s exactly what I hope to help you do: healempower yourself, and step into your true potential.
