Treatment Approach

Therapy is a collaborative process — not something I do to you, but something we build together. I draw from several evidence-based and holistic modalities to support your growth:

  • Trauma-Informed Therapy
    • I create a gentle, supportive space where your story is honored, and we move at a pace that respects your nervous system and boundaries.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
    • We work to identify unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with more empowering beliefs and actions.
  • Mindfulness & Somatic Awareness
    • Your body holds the imprint of your experiences. We use grounding tools and body-based awareness to help you feel safe, connected, and present.
  • Narrative Therapy
    • We reexamine the stories you’ve been told — by family, culture, or past experiences — and begin rewriting them in a way that centers your truth.
  • Inner Child Work & Reparenting
    • We gently explore the unmet needs and emotional wounds of your younger self, building the safety and love that may have been missing.
  • Culturally Sensitive & Bilingual Counseling
    • I provide therapy in English, Spanish, or Spanglish, honoring the richness and complexity of your cultural identity.
Who I Work With

  • Bicultural or first-generation individuals navigating identity, family roles, and cultural expectations
  • Survivors of childhood trauma, including emotional neglect and sexual abuse
  • Cycle-breakers who are working to unlearn patterns passed down through families
  • Deep feelers and overthinkers who carry anxiety, guilt, or self-doubt, but are ready to live differently
What I Believe About Healing

I see healing as a process of reclaiming — your truth, your body, your voice, and the parts of you that had to hide to survive.

Especially for bicultural and first-gen adults, therapy can be a powerful way to unlearn survival patterns and reclaim a grounded, authentic sense of self.

It’s about using your voice, honoring your story, and creating a life that finally feels safe, aligned, and yours.

A Word on Metamorfosis

I wonder what a caterpillar experiences during its time in the cocoon—how does it feel to undergo such a profound change? It’s a living creature, after all, undergoing its own unique process of becoming.

I’ve read that most of its structures are completely broken down and then rebuilt, including its heart. I imagine it’s both painful and beautiful. I wonder if they know that the pain is part of the transformation, that the discomfort will lead to something beautiful on the other side.

To me, this is what “doing the work” in therapy feels like.

Healing—true healing—can be uncomfortable, exhausting, and emotionally challenging. It’s a journey that you ultimately travel alone, because no one can do the work for you. But while the work may be yours alone, you don’t have to do it in isolation.

As your therapist, my role is to guide you, to help create a safe space—your cocoon, if you will—where transformation can unfold. I’m honored to hold that space for you, to witness and support you through this deeply personal metamorfosis.
